certain roles, sing songs from that character if possible. If you do not
have a role preference, please also let us know this.
-Follow this link to learn a brief dance combination.
-If you are auditioning for only one or for both shows, that would also be
helpful to note in your video or in the email attached to the video.

Record yourself doing the combo to the music from the video above,
showing character/personality.
-Also include any footage you might have that shows your singing and
dance experience from past performances. A YouTube link is fine if you
have that, but make sure we know which one you are.
-Keep your main submission under 3 minutes (additional footage
showing past performances does not count in this 3 minutes) - Also attach a current headshot (it does not need to be professional,
but please don’t add any filters) and/or resume if you have them. If not,
include a current picture, and a summary of prior performing experience
if you have any.

A no-nonsense, serious, loud English teacher.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
(Lost in the 50’s Aug 7-Aug 16)
This show is a revival of the original show that was performed
in this theatre when we opened in 2002.
It usually features 6-10 singer/dancers, BUT this show has the
ability to adapt to the strengths of our performers, so if we
have amazing dancers who don’t sing or an incredible vocalist
who isn’t a great mover, please submit! This show can be
tailored to the cast we hire!
Ideally, we are looking for versatile singers who are comfortable
with singing harmonies but also have wonderful range and very
strong character acting. There are a lot of great moments in this
show for singer/actor/dancers looking to strengthen their demo
reels.
Females who move should be comfortable dancing in character
shoes, and males who move should be comfortable lifting
females. Most of the dancing won’t require lifts, but it will
require a lot of enthusiasm. You don’t have to know how to do
partner dancing prior to being hired, but you do need to be
willing to learn.
There are over 50 songs featured in the show. Some examples
that have been in our show before are: Fever, In the Still of the
Night, 16 Tons, Walkin After Midnight, One Fine Day, Hound
Dog, La Bamba, Where The Boys Are, Lion Sleeps Tonight,
Why Do Fools Fall In Love…
While some of these songs are the ones we have had in the past,
if there is a song you know you’re great at in this era of music,
let us know, or better yet, audition with that song for this show!
