Michael Cummings

After receiving rave reviews following his performance as a toy soldier in a 5th grade Christmas performance, Mike decided the life as a child actor was too overwhelming. Nearly three decades later, Mike returns to the stage for his second performance. Fellow cast member and family friend for over 15 years, Sheila Berg, reached out to Mike saying, “We’re seeking an old, drunkard to fill a role and I immediately thought of you”. Mike, a Professor of Foundation Studies at SCAD, has been at the university since 1999. While a graduate student in Illustration he met his future artist wife, Julie, in 2001. Together they have two awesomely creative children, Carter and Izzy. Mike would like to thank his family for their support during this amazing experience
