Looking for singer/actors, singer/dancers, and child performers
Auditions by Video Submission will be reviewed as they are received.
Auditions are now open through noon May 12, 2025. Preferred
method of submission is a YouTube or Vimeo link, and can be sent

Callbacks and dance call will be conducted in person mid/late May
TBD. Zoom callbacks may be held as needed.
Instructions for Audition:
-Begin video at eye level by stating your name, height, where you are located, vocal type, and dance experience, if any. For children, if you have any gymnastics or special skills, let us know that too.
–Sing at least one song from musical theatre. 20-30 seconds is long enough (a verse and chorus is sufficient).
-You do not have to do full songs. If you wish to be considered for certain roles, let us know which roles and sing songs from that character, if possible. If you do not have a role preference, please also let us know this.

-Record yourself doing the dance combo to the music from the video that best fits the role you’re auditioning, showing character/personality.
-In addition to above, also include any footage you might have that shows your singing and dance experience from past performances. A YouTube link is fine if you have that, but make sure we know which one you are.
-Keep submission under 3 minutes (excluding reel or clips of prior performances)
– Also attach a current headshot and/or resume if you have them. If not, include a current picture (getting someone to take a pic with a cell phone is fine), and a summary of prior performing experience if you have any.
-In the submission email, notate any conflicts you might have between July 13-August 2 (rehearsals) and August 3-7 (tech week). This includes listing general work or school schedules, and also times you will not be in Savannah to rehearse!
*** For Child/Orphan performers*** There will likely be an “Annie Camp” to work all orphan scenes. This would be the week of July 28-Aug 1 during daytime hours (9a-5p). Please let us know of any conflicts during that week and those times.
-Confirmed list of performance days/times will be available before casting is finalized, but performances look to include August 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, plus 1-3 more on Wednesdays or Thursdays between the 13th and 21st of August.
Callbacks and dance call will be conducted in person sometime soon, after we review the videos. Details coming soon.

ANNIE Character Breakdowns
ANNIE, Mezzo-Soprano Belter, Female, to play 11 years old: A tough yet charming streetwise orphan. Annie is independent, hopeful, and full of life; she acts as a leader/mother figure to the other orphans and yearns for parents of her own. Looking for a strong singer and smart actress who can carry the energy of the show.
OLIVER WARBUCKS, Baritenor, Male: Warbucks is a highly successful businessman who made a fortune as an industrialist in World War I. Should be confident, intimidating, and a bit stiff. At first, he is unsure and awkward around Annie, but warms up to her and eventually learns to love her as a father. Should have a smooth legit voice, falsetto a plus.
GRACE FARRELL, Soprano, Female: Oliver Warbucks’s secretary; she is poised, sophisticated and savvy, yet gentle and warm. Acts as a welcoming motherly figure to Annie, and is able to access Warbucks’s gentler side.
MISS HANNIGAN, Alto Belter, Female: The disillusioned, bitter, and cruel matron of the orphanage. Her distaste for her job should ooze from every line she delivers. Looking for a larger-than-life comedic character actress with a strong belt to match.
ROOSTER HANNIGAN, Tenor, Male: The flashy, self-assured con-man of a brother to Miss Hannigan. He poses as Annie’s father in order to claim a cash reward. Should be a great mover and have excellent comedic chemistry with the actress playing Lily.
LILY ST. REGIS, Character Soprano, Female: Rooster’s sleazy, airheaded girlfriend. She poses as Annie’s mother in order to claim a cash reward. She should be a great mover; seductive, ditzy, and annoying, all at the same time. Should have excellent comedic chemistry with the actor playing Rooster.
ORPHANS, Any voice type, females, ages 7-14:
The orphans are gritty, neglected girls, who are at the same time honest and lovable. They act like siblings, looking out for each other but also fighting each other constantly. Each actress should be able to shape her own specific character. We are looking for strong, expressive singers who can also dance well. The named orphans include:
MOLLY: The littlest orphan, she latches onto Annie for love and protection.
KATE: The second youngest orphan after Molly.
TESSIE: The crybaby of the orphanage; must have a loud, whiny voice.
JULY: The quietest orphan.
PEPPER: The toughest orphan, always getting into fights.
DUFFY: The oldest orphan, usually forced to help Annie break up the fights.
ADULT ENSEMBLE, All genders, All voice types, all ages. (PLEASE NOTE all adult ensemble roles will play more than one role)
Excellent singer/dancer/actors to play various roles around New York City in the 1930’s, including street vendors, homeless people, tourists, newsboys, pickpockets, street cleaners, Broadway ushers, news reporters, and more. They will also appear as Warbucks’s staff who take care of his mansion. Featured ensemble roles include:
PRESIDENT FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT, Male, 50-65: Should be an actor who can convincingly pass as FDR, has a bit of solo singing and speaking lines.
STAR-TO-BE, Female, Mezzo-Soprano Belter, 18-25: Featured soloist in “NYC”, the Star-To-Be is a young actress who recently moved to New York City to become a Broadway star.
BERT HEALY, Male, Tenor: A classic 1930’s radio announcer, with solo singing in “Never Fully Dressed”. Should be able to change vocal quality or accents to create different radio characters.
BOYLAN SISTERS, Females, Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano: A trio of 1930’s radio singers, should be able to hold close harmonies.
DRAKE, Male, any voice type: Warbucks’s butler.
LIEUTENANT OFFICER WARD, Male, any voice type: The policeman who questions Annie about Sandy.
MR. BUNDLES, Male, any voice type: The laundryman who collects laundry from the orphanage. He is friendly to the kids, but avoids Miss Hannigan’s romantic advances.
APPLE SELLER, Any gender, any voice type: A homeless person who sells apples on the streets of New York.
MRS. GREER, MRS. PUGH, AND CECILLE, Females, any voice type: Maidservants who work at the Warbucks mansion.
ICKES, PERKINS, HULL, MORGANTHAU, AND HOWE, all voice types: Members of President Roosevelt’s cabinet.
JUDGE BRANDEIS, Male: Attorney & associate justice of the Supreme Court who is hired to help Warbucks legally adopt Annie.
